About Us

The Liberty Theatre in downtown Astoria, Oregon, is one of the best examples of the 1920s vaudeville-motion picture palace in the Pacific Northwest. Liberty Restoration, Inc., a private, non-profit organization is restoring this magnificent structure to its original elegance. Operating today as a Performing Arts Center, Concert Hall, Conference Center, meeting venue and an elegant site for Weddings. The historic Liberty Theatre complex, located on the northern coast of Oregon, launched as a community effort in 1991. The organization received its non-profit status in 1998. The organization's leadership is comprised of distinguished individuals from Clatsop and Pacific counties whose commitment to the project demonstrates its significance to the region. The board includes sixteen individuals from diverse fields such as accounting, banking, performing arts, real estate, law, community fundraising, academia and local government. Clatsop Community College and Portland State University are institutional partners committed to the restoration of the complex.
